Dr Colm Bradley

Clinical Operations

Colm Bradley is an International Healthcare Consultant with over 30 years’ experience. Colm provides advice and expertise in the development, placement and conduct of cancer clinical trials in Europe, with the aim of reversing the loss of Pharma-sponsored research from Europe.

Colm has enjoyed a wide and varied career including roles as: a Clinical Biochemist/Hematologist in the NHS; Aircrew Officer in Her Majesty's Royal Air Force; and a variety of positions for various European Cancer Networks and the Pharmaceutical Industry, including Clinical Research, Fundraising, Marketing, Training, Education and Secretariat services.

Oncology focused experience

Colm has worked closely with the boards of European LeukemiaNet (ELN) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) to help them establish both the ELN and ESMO Foundations and acted as an Officer of both foundations. He has also worked closely with the Educational Committee of the U.K. Association of Cancer Physicians (ACP) and was instrumental in setting up the ACP Cancer Physicians in Training Summer Schools and coordinated these in their early years, with the aim of equipping the future consultants in the U.K. with the medical skills, knowledge and experience to treat cancer patients.

Colm was instrumental in helping the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) with their Cancer Care Initiative. This initiative produced a RCGP positioning paper in response to the “Calman Hine Expert Advisory Group on Cancer White Paper” of how this impacted General Practice in the U.K.

He was also one of the leads who set up and managed an International Consensus on the Management of Cancer Pain under the auspices of the WHO, EORTC, NCI and the EAPC. The main outcome being an update of the WHO Guideline for Managing Cancer Pain and from this the production of the Booklet “Looking Forward to Cancer Pain Relief for All” that could be used by doctors, nurses and patients.

Colm was a member of the European Union Working Group Partnership for Action Against Cancer and is a member of the European Union Working Group Patients’ Roadmap to Treatment Working Party and the International Cancer Patient Support Group.

Colm is a member of the CanTreat International Cancer Group. CanTreat International comprises experts from leading global cancer organizations working in an individual capacity to develop new models for the delivery of treatment and palliative care for cancer, in particular women’s cancers, in developing countries.

Jim Baker

Commercial Operations


Author of "The Adventure Begins When The Plan Falls Apart: Converting a Crisis into Company Success", Jim is a Husband and Father of 4; he has spent the last 30 years in the business world as an Entrepreneur, Investor, and Advisor. He had a successful exit in 2014 after owning and managing a CRO and functional services company, Ockham, specialising in Oncology. During that time prior to exit, Jim grew ASG and then Ockham both organically and through M&A. Jim has experience in acquiring and selling companies, working with Investment Bankers, private equity, and mezzanine debt funding. In addition, he has vast experience in business branding and managing and leading people. After the sale to Chiltern International, Jim started Sumus Development Group, an advisory business focused on operational excellence, exit strategy and marketing. In addition, Jim is an active investor in the business community.

Keith Murdoch

Finance


Keith is an experienced Non-Executive Director and co-founder of Spero Oncology with 15 years’ experience in the CRO industry.

Keith trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG then joined 3i plc as an Investment Director, before enjoying spells in industry and commerce as a Financial Director in a number of industry sectors. In 1990 he became a Partner in Springfords LLP, a mid-sized Edinburgh accountancy practice, and from 1996 onwards he led their corporate finance activities before leaving to set up a dedicated consultancy practice in 2008. In addition to being a Director in his own businesses, Keith has portfolio of Non-Executive Directorships / Board Advisory positions and has extensive experience of the CRO sector through his previous Non-Executive roles with Nexus Oncology Limited, Ockham Development Group Inc and Spero Oncology Limited.

Russell Howard

Business Development


A Senior Executive with over 35 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries, Russell has a wealth of experience at Senior Management level including Vice President and Managing Director of Perrigo, Vice President EMEA at Alpharma (Actavis) and various General Management and Commercial, Strategic and Business Development roles.

A founding Partner of HowTu Pharma Consult (www.howtupharma.com) Russell is a graduate in Biochemistry and a post graduate in Business Administration from Glasgow.

Frances Bradley

Administration


Co-founder of daCRO and Bradley Healthcare Consultants and Mother of 3. She is an Administrative Director with over 20 years’ experience within the Healthcare environment. Frances is responsible for developing the required Administrative and Personnel policies and procedures. Frances has an M.A. in Modern Languages, a Postgraduate Diploma in Secretarial Studies with Languages and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.

Career highlights include: PA to the Export Manager of a Whisky Distillery; Primary Care Administrative Assistant; Language Teacher at a Secondary School in Oxfordshire; Private Language Teacher; Administrative Manager; Personnel Manager; Administrative Director.
